GTM Payroll Services Inc. in Clifton Park, NY is seeking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative to provide quality tax service for private household and local business clients. This position contacts and assists clients in tax related questions and resolution of tax notices from the IRS and State agencies, responds to and resolves client questions and problems and delivers high-quality customer service in a fast-paced complex payroll environment dealing with 40 + states. Essential Functions:

  • Create and maintain a positive experience with clients.
  • Continued learning of ever-changing payroll tax and HR laws and participate in company on-going training program.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to customer's requests across multiple channels including email and phone.
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns, as well as potential process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with other GTM teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Responsible for data collection, service, tax resolution for payroll and tax services working with federal and state agencies.
  • Assisting the Tax Manager and Tax Supervisor with problem resolution and new account enrollment and existing client termination.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills including problem resolution.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to meet customer needs and resolve tax issues.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology and systems easily.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Time Management skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years customer service experience in a payroll or human resource environment.
  • BA/BS degree in business or a related field is helpful.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
