GTM Payroll Services Inc. specializes in Human Resources and Payroll services, supported by our industry-leading expertise and extraordinary level of personal attention for each and every customer, and is actively seeking self-directed, independent, and driven candidates to play an integral role in our West Coast growth by being on the front lines prospecting and developing new referral relationships.  If you want to make a big difference in a smaller organization by securing and growing a new referral pipeline for our household payroll and tax services, then this is the ideal position for you! The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in B2B sales developing new accounts.

 

A Typical Day:

You'll thrive as a self-directed, go-getter coupled with all the tools necessary for ultimate success.  In an independent sales-based environment, with a flexible work location in the San Francisco area, you'll prospect the entire territory developing new referral relationships with accounting firms, wealth management firms, corporate employee benefits and household placement agencies.  You'll work closely with our NY based Marketing, Business Development and Sales teams for support and collaboration.

GTM has the products and services that household employers need and with our suite of products and second-to-none customer service, you'll create invaluable relationships providing a value added service to our partners making them a hero to their clients!

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Securing and growing a pipeline of referrals from West Coast firms that can refer their clients to GTM for household payroll and tax services.
  • Prospecting the entire territory through efforts such as cold calling, social selling, referrals and in-person meetings and events to identify opportunities for potential new partners.
  • Demonstrating technical selling skills and product knowledge in areas of payroll, payroll taxes, human resources, workers' compensation, and benefits.
  • Achieving or exceeding referral and sales targets agreed upon by management.
  • Understanding the business and technical requirement of our customers and partners and translating how GTM can best meet those needs
  • Maintaining accurate records of all activities (prospecting, sales calls, presentations, sales, etc.) within assigned territory.
  • Logging contacts and information into internal CRM system to keep accurate record of touchpoints and key conversations.
  • Gathering a comprehensive list of active accountants that refer GTM services, track referrals and keep continuous outreach efforts.
  • Giving CPE presentations online and/or in person.
  • Represent GTM and network at industry conferences and associations.

What we're looking for:

  • BA/BS degree in business or related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant sales experience in B2B sales or service related industry, preferably in payroll
  • Previous experience working with decision makers including CPAs, Business Owners and HR professionals
  • Have previous sales methodology training Sandler selling skills a plus.
  • A creative, self-directed, independent thinker with high energy level and a sense of humor.
  • Someone that is assertive, but likeable, to break through and create new relationships.
  • Initiative, drive, a can-do attitude and a desire to win.
